AICaptionGenerator.org is a small independent writing tool created by Art and the City, a design education studio in Amsterdam.
We built it for a very ordinary creative problem: you have the image, project or announcement, but the caption field is still empty.
What the tool actually does
The current browser-based generator combines your topic, platform and tone with a set of built-in writing patterns. It does not send your text to a live generative-AI model. That makes it fast and private, but it also means the output is intentionally a starting point rather than a finished piece of writing.
Why there are guides as well as a tool
Writing for social media is not only a prompt problem. The useful decisions are often editorial: what does the image already communicate, what extra layer is worth adding, and how should the same idea change between Instagram and LinkedIn?
The guides on this site come from the same approach we use in design education: make something concrete, look again, edit, and keep the part that has a job.
